Detailed: SuperCharged Mini Cooper - Chili Red

This is a garage queen. Owner seldom drives it therefore defects were not severe (so I thought ).

Here's the car upon arrival.

Sweet lil car!

A pillar - minor holograms

Same happened to the other side

Hard water spots on hood

Holograms on passenger side

More on driver side

Rear Quarter

Minor issue - residue on the intake vents

Its hologram-o-rama!!

Common thing happening here. Told me its normal to see this after the car has been polished.

The vehicle has decals (faux carbon) on the front and the roof. There were polish/wax residue on the borders. Hard to take them out.

Here's a closeup - the decals were textured (Di Noc wraps? Not so sure what they called nowadays)

Residue all along the decals. Tough to remove.

Detail work were more onto major exterior work and minor work on engine and interior.

Here are some snippets taken during exterior work.

Clay from body

Clay from glass.

Test spot from the hood. After much experimenting, best combo was G220+M105+Cut Pad and finished with M205+Yellow Pad.

Front Hood - swirls and scratches - before

After - much better

Just to check to ensure no micromarring and holograming. LED and camera flash - will definitely shows defects.

Rear Bumper Top Portion - 5050 shot - single application of M205+Yellow Pad.

After - much better. Managed to remove swirls but RIDS still exist.

Before Rear Quarter Passenger Side

After - Swirls no more!

Again, this is how it used to look like.

After - not 100% defect free but much better then before? Definitely yes.

Windscreen (front and rear) were full of waterspots - though it had some kind of coating on it.

Rear windscreen - minor water spots.

After

Front Windscreen was just awful - lots of water spots.

Tried to do a 5050 on glass. Cleaned it up pretty good.

G220+M205+Yellow Pad - Managed to take the spots easily.
Gtechniq G4 to remove any remaining residue
IPA wipedown
Sealed with Gtechniq G1. Love it!!!!
IPA on wiper blades- took around 20 Q tips to get it cleaned.

The front headlights and rear lights were also in need for some defect removal.

50/50 shot on the front headlights

Single hit of M205+Yellow Pad+G220

After - much better then before.

Before- Eyelids

After

Before - rear lights

After - Rear Lights

After 20hours+ of exterior work, here are the sun shots.

Under Garage Light

No more waterspots.
