Toyota Avanza - Metallic Silver

I've detailed the paint about a year plus ago. Car is never under a garage/shed (home park outside, workplace no shade). Its true 24/7 under the sun/moon *LOL*.

Paint is Metallic Silver and only have very minor swirls. Only issue is the bonded contaminants. Never been washed by a car wash company. Its one of my test mule on testing products (especially sealants/waxes). It was wearing Collinite Marque D'Elegance #915 when the car came in.

So this is the second time its polished since Oct 2008 (that a long time ago).

Anyhow, here are the breakdown on the things done.

Vehicle upon arrival.

Here's the overall picture of the car.

Scratches on the door handle. Notice the clear peeling from the keyhole.

Bird poop

Fuel cap- not that bad.

Whenever we send the car to be serviced, the service centre really likes their grease. They grease any hinge on the car. LOL Nasty stuff

Roof

Wheels - not that bad. Wearing Meguiars #16.

On the other hand, here are some pictures of the engine bay. Note that the engine has not been washed since its first major detail in Oct08 (If memory serves me right-rechecking on my log book later). LOL

Overview of the whole engine bay

Acid Stains

Part of the chrome grill underneath the hood. (Sorry for the blurry picture)

Before

After - didn't pushed it - paint was thin

Before

Cotton buds primed with M105 - clean really good.

After

Some parts didn't managed to squeeze the buds in. Oh well, next time then.

Headlights Before: Stains on the plastic

After

G220, M105 - finished with M205 - Looks better now.

Some random reflections from the car's paint.

Interior - Just did a simple wipe down and vacc. No pictures.

ps: The 303 fabric protector applied at least 6 months ago is still holding up really well. Water still beads on the front seats (highest traffic from bums - LOL)

So here is the finished product. I just quickly snapped pictures outside, rained after only few minutes of sunshine.

Clean wheel and tire

I just love to see the suspension arm all clean.
